VR Film Featuring Discovery Learning Alliance Earns Emmy Nomination

The virtual reality film “Inside Impact: East Africa” featuring a Discovery Learning Alliance classroom and produced with the Clinton Global Initiative, has been nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Interactive Media. The Discovery Learning Alliance (DLA) partner school in Kenya was captured in virtual reality when President Clinton and Chelsea Clinton visited a school in Nairobi in 2015 to hold a public gathering about innovation in girls’ education with Discovery Learning Alliance Managing Director, Tamela Noboa, and Kenyan activist Kennedy Odede. DLA is pleased to be involved with this film, which is seeing so much success, and with the CGI Girls’ CHARGE Commitment to Action, bringing many partners together to advance girls’ education.
